Diagnostic Capabilities

Diagnosis First. Treatment Second.

Effective food allergy treatment begins with one principle: never treat incomplete data.

Many patients are labeled “allergic” based on partial testing or isolated reactions. We prevent misdiagnosis by building a complete immune profile before any treatment decision is made at our Irving clinic.

Our Full Diagnostic Toolkit

Clinical Principle

Every treatment path—whether Xolair, TIP, SLIT, or avoidance planning—is built only after:

precise immune mapping + clinical correlation + risk stratification

Component-Resolved IgE Blood Testing

We don’t just confirm “positive or negative.” We identify specific allergenic protein components, helping distinguish:

  • True clinical food allergy
  • Cross-reactivity (pollen-related false positives)
  • Sensitization without real-world reaction risk

This avoids unnecessary dietary restrictions and anxiety-driven elimination diets.

Skin Prick Testing (SPT)

A controlled, in-clinic evaluation of immediate allergic response using standardized extracts performed in Irving.

We use SPT to:

  • Confirm IgE-mediated sensitivity
  • Correlate symptoms with immune response
  • Build baseline reactivity mapping for treatment planning

Atopy Patch Testing

Used when delayed immune reactions are suspected.

Helps identify:

  • Non-IgE mediated food reactions
  • Eczema-related food triggers
  • Delayed hypersensitivity patterns

Oral Food Challenge — Gold Standard

Performed only in our Irving medical facility when needed.

  • Medically supervised setting
  • Emergency-ready monitoring
  • Most accurate method to confirm or rule out food allergy

Conditions We Treat

Conditions We Diagnose & Manage

We treat both simple and complex allergic disease presentations in our Irving practice, including multi-system allergic conditions.

IgE-Mediated Food Allergy

We manage allergies to:

  • Peanut, tree nuts
  • Milk, egg
  • Wheat, soy
  • Sesame
  • Fish & shellfish
  • Multi-food allergy syndromes

We evaluate:

  • Reaction severity
  • Threshold sensitivity
  • Cross-reactivity risk
  • Real-world exposure danger

Anaphylaxis Evaluation & Prevention

We provide structured care for patients with:

  • History of severe allergic reactions
  • Unclear trigger events
  • Recurrent emergency visits

Management includes:

  • Trigger identification
  • Risk grading (mild → life-threatening)
  • Emergency action planning
  • Long-term desensitization eligibility

Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema) with Suspected Food Triggers

We distinguish:

Food-triggered eczema vs Non-food atopic inflammation

We only recommend food restriction when immune evidence supports it, to avoid unnecessary dietary limitations.

Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) — Coordinated Care

A chronic, non-IgE mediated inflammatory condition.

We:

  • Coordinate diagnosis with gastroenterology (endoscopy required)
  • Evaluate dietary antigen contribution
  • Collaborate on long-term management

Note: Not treated directly via TIP or Xolair protocols.

FPIES

Most common in infants and young children.

We focus on:

  • Accurate identification
  • Safe reintroduction planning
  • Nutritional monitoring

Treatment Options

Three Paths. One Personalized Plan.

All treatment is designed and managed at our Irving facility.

We tailor therapy based on age, allergy severity, number of allergens, risk tolerance, and long-term goals.

01

Reaction Prevention — Xolair (Omalizumab)

A biologic therapy designed to reduce reaction severity.

FDA Approval: February 2024 for food allergy protection.

  • Increases reaction threshold
  • Reduces immune overreaction risk
  • Helps protect from accidental exposure

Best suited for:

  • Multi-food allergy patients
  • Young children (1+)
  • High-risk exposure profiles
02

Mild Desensitization — Food SLIT (CureSLIT)

Daily sublingual immunotherapy.

  • Gradual immune retraining
  • Reduced IgE sensitivity
  • Improved tolerance to accidental exposure

Best suited for:

  • Families preferring lower-intensity therapy
  • Patients not eligible for TIP
03

Advanced Desensitization — TIP Program

We are the only FAI-authorized TIP provider in Texas.

The Tolerance Induction Program® uses:

  • Data-driven dosing progression
  • Continuous immune monitoring
  • Multi-allergen structured desensitization

Best suited for:

  • Multi-food allergy patients
  • High-complexity cases
  • Long-term tolerance outcomes
